The story is interesting enough, but the book is really short, only 110 pages, so the price is a little high for the size.Also, the editing is atrocious. There are missing commas at every turn, incorrect verb tenses, and wrong words altogether.
In the "About This Book" section she states that she is a "revision addict" but this book could use a serious revision. As a professional editor, I've noticed at least one mistake on every page.

This book had no substance to it. The writing sounded like a twelve year old school girl wrote it. I was very disappointed because I thought it would be a travel book I could relate to. No such luck. Very shallow.
Loved it! As it turns out, we had several shared travel experiences, which made it even more fun to read.
Stephanie had a great variety of blog posts in her short book that hit on some very good points. It was a quick read that I enjoyed.
i liked it....although it was a good quick read w/ some good alternative ideas in how to save for a trip of this magnitude. It was written in a way where it seemed like it shouldve been a little bit longer. Overall i liked it and would recommend it.....
Yoder may be a blogger, but get writing did not translate well to a book. She glazed over her actual adventures, attempted to give traveling advice, talked about being a self involved 20 something, and needs a better editor (so many typos and tangents!). Because I am a 20 something who has lived through similar traveling adventures I do applaud her effort to inspire people to travel, and the wisdom she shares in that respect is chosen. A brilliant message that was poorly executed.
The other reviews should have been a clue that this a bloggers compilation of posts and not a true story. Beyond that it was not entertaining or even a learning experience. Don't waste your time.
This book was... Okay. It wasn't terrible. It wasn't awe inspiring. It was literally just okay.
The length bothered me the most. At only 111 pages, there should have been a lot more book. There really wasn't much meat and potatoes to it. It had very few specific anecdotes that went into such detail that it transported me to a different time and a different continent. And the spelling and grammar errors drove me nuts. I've read unbeta'd fan fictions with better sentence structure.
My advice, wait until this book is available for a penny plus shipping and then get it. It is definitely not worth $13+.
